"Why did we give such a title to this, an album of songs inspired by the landscapes, the history, the secret corners of America? The answer is all in the meaning of that first part of the word, "dream". In these poetical and musical visions, America is not the real country we all know. It is a magical place, even esoteric, where everything that America has given us in the course of her and our history converges and coexists; all distilled in the inspiration of a journey that finds its destination in itself: a destination that we like to sing, a "dream land" that we resolutely demand to inhabit." Lucia Minetti The songs of Dreamland are inspired both by the great tradition of the greatest American Songwriters, from Tom Waits to Ryan Bingham, from Woody Guthrie to Bob Dylan, both by the great tradition of the original American Music, from Blues to Jazz. Two wonderful Italian Artists such as Lucia Minetti and Fabio Ranghiero tribute their passion and incredible quality to the Great American Music.
KURT! KURT! is a project led by vocalist Valentina Fin who, together with pianist Mauro Spanò, has developed a research dedicated to the early 20th century German composer and musician Kurt Weill. The chamber ensemble combines the classic string quartet with the piano-voice duo. The sextet, based on the original scores, has developed new and contemporary arrangements, proposing the same atmosphere between jazz and contemporary classical music, in some original compositions too, inspired by some poems of Weill's historic friend and collaborator, Bertolt Brecht.

Lucia Minetti When I proposed the idea for this album to Oscar del Barba and Stefano Bortolussi, I knew that I was dealing with a composer of rare refinement and creativity and with a poet in whose versesmusicality is an essential element. I knew, in short, that in them I would have two companions of adventures in perfect harmony with what I had in mind: something new and at the same time a return to the origins. Stefano and I have collected, in addition to his three original contributions in English, the texts of some of the best Italian poets and writers of these years. I wanted to be a sort of inspiring muse for them, asking them to dedicate their verses to the great themes of love, desire, longing and memory, and contributing in turn with insights, variants and suggestions. We molded and polished the words entrusted to us, where certainimages that I am particularly fond of — such as the seas and our travels upon them — are deliberately recurrent. Then we entrusted the words in Oscar's masterful hands, and he set them to music and created the score for string quartet, chiseling his notes around the verses with great skill and inspiration. But above all I experimented, sang and interpreted, following an idea of song that would break away and take flight from any convention; and Stefano and Oscar listened and made their suggestions with an open mind. The result, we are convinced, is for once faithful to our original intent: that of resuming the connections between song and poetry, now too often sacrificed on the false altars of easy rhymes and catchiness. In this journey I found an ideal travel companion in the EchosQuartet a young group overflowing with enthusiasm, talent, passion and curiosity towards crossover projects. All this, as always, has been ensured by the great mastery of Marco Lincetto behind the console and by his precious support as a record producer. This, then, is our idea of canto libero. Or perhaps I should say "one of our ideas", since I have the feeling that many more will follow. Lucia Minetti

Marco Lincetto ILLEGALOVE is a concept album. It's a musical journey to discover the secrets of Love: that one a little bit desperate, sometimes accursed, told us by some of the most famous international rock and pop songs from the last 40 years. According to the famous "Velut Luna Style", Chiara Pastò, Enrico Santacatterina and Massimo Tuzza offer not simple covers of some of the most famous songs ever, but new astonishing performances, due to the original arrangements by Enrico Santacatterina, including various different guitars - 12 strings, dobro, XOX, Godin... - absolutely new sounds from sinth machine, the rich colors granted by the percussions of Massimo Tuzza and last but not least, the impressive and crystal clear voice of Chiara Pastò. It’s always difficult to talk about something that involves you directly. Like, for example, of an album for which you take care of the artistic production. And an album, if you have decided to devote yourself to it, to offer it your time, your skills, your commitment, is like a son. Although you didn’t write it, or perform it, you end up being part of it. I have produced about twenty albums, I could’ve produce more, maybe, but I always chose to work with and for the quality. Presenting this album, this one, is even more difficult because we are talking about two sons, plus a few adopted ones. It’s not a secret, Jacopo, Sick 4 Milk’s leader, is my son. I have known some of his adventure pals since they had just started to wear long trousers, some since when I still had the slight hope of keeping some hair on my head. Have I artistically produced my son’s album? No, even though there wouldn’t be anything wrong with this: I produced Sick 4 Milk’s first album, a band of which I’ve been a fan since the first concerts at some roman pubs. I’m hypercritical with my sons, with the legitimated and the adopted. I have been so for all these years (not so many, but a lot compared to the age of the band’s members), until, as passionate and professional in the “music and similar” business, I understood that this talent, obvious since long time ago, penetrated deep down these guys’ souls, leading them to an artistic maturity that some groups more from my time than theirs, still haven’t reached. I didn’t decide to do an album: chatting one night with Marco Lincetto, I asked him to listen to a piece, the first one in unplugged version that was on youtube, just to have his opinion. Marco, after a few minutes wrote to me: Excellent, I want to do this album. I didn’t have to struggle or convince anybody and this was a great relief. And it gave me confort in my assumption of knowing music well and of recognising talents, in other words of knowing how to do my beautiful job. I obviously knew that the Velut Luna recording would have been of high quality, it was perfect indeed. Then come what may, these guys are talented, not only in music, and this being talented in many other things other than music, is in my opinion the reason why at their young age they already look like a mature and famous group. Because I never believed in talent without intelligence and knowledge or at least the desire to learn. And forgive me if I badly quoted Miles Davis. If I may say, I will end this short presentation with a genetic-affective-animistic note: The acoustic ovation that Jacopo plays is the one that belonged to his uncle Danilo who left it prematurely as an inheritance to his unworthy brother who passed it to his son (a very long loan) It is the number 1037, the first to arrive to Italy. And in the last 35 years it played very well its role treading the stage all over Italy and around the world without ever missing a beat.
